Publication ethics and plagiarism policy.
The editorial board adheres to the principles of academic integrity and does not allow: plagiarism; fabrication or falsification of results; duplication of publications; unlawful authorship; manipulation of citations.
Received manuscripts can be checked by specialized software. The journal’s editorial policy is aimed at adhering to the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (Committee on Publication Ethics / COPE, www.publicationethics.org), is guided by the policy of academic integrity in order to assess the content of a scientific article as objectively as possible, determine its compliance with the requirements of a scientific journal, and comprehensively analyze its advantages and disadvantages.
Academic integrity is the foundation of the journal’s editorial board’s activities, which guarantees the quality and authority of published research. At the same time, the publication declares high-quality scientific research, namely: compliance with intellectual honesty; the results presented in the article must be the result of the author’s independent research, without manipulation or distortion; respect for intellectual property: by submitting an article, the author guarantees that the work does not violate existing copyrights; illustrative material (tables, figures, photos, etc.) must be cited; objectivity, according to which reviewers provide an impartial expert assessment, contributing to the improvement of the scientific level of manuscripts; equality, that is, the editorial board ensures equal conditions for all authors, regardless of their status or awards.
The main violation of academic integrity is academic plagiarism, which is manifested in the reproduction of someone else’s results, ideas or fragments of text without proper citation. To avoid plagiarism, the editorial office considers it necessary: not to change parts of the quote in the context of the sentence; to isolate words taken verbatim from the source; to use three periods for the omitted part of the quote; to try to limit the use of direct quotes.
This also applies to self-plagiarism, when an author reuses his own previously published materials, passing them off as new scientific achievements.
Violations also include fabrication and falsification of data, which involves inventing non-existent facts, manipulating archival sources, or deliberately changing research results to confirm a false hypothesis. A separate group of violations is manipulation of authorship: including individuals who did not participate in the research as authors, or ordering texts through third-party commercial services.
Given the development of technology, the hidden use of generative artificial intelligence is also considered a violation. The presentation of text or images created by AI without the appropriate declaration and critical rethinking by the author is considered a form of academic fraud. In addition, it is unacceptable to submit a manuscript to multiple publications simultaneously and to deliberately conceal a conflict of interest, which may cast doubt on the objectivity of the presented conclusions.
Regarding publication ethics.
Within the framework of its editorial policy, the journal consistently adheres to the publishing standards of the COPE Code of Conduct, approved by the COP (Committee on Publication Ethics).
Members of the editorial board of the publication and/or external independent experts review articles in accordance with the principle of objectivity and from the standpoint of international academic standards.
The editorial board reserves the right to make stylistic edits to the manuscript. Edits that, in the opinion of the editorial board, may change the content are agreed with the author.
The editorial board reserves the right to reject articles that do not meet the requirements and topics of the journal.
The opinions and suggestions expressed in the articles do not necessarily coincide with the point of view of the editorial board. Responsibility for the reliability of the information in the articles, the accuracy of titles, statistical data, surnames and quotes lies with the authors.
The editorial office reserves the right to make minor literary edits and abbreviations of texts, while preserving the author’s style.
Submitted materials will not be returned and cannot be published in other scientific journals.
Regarding editorial ethics
When making a decision on publication, the editorial board is guided by the positive opinion of a reviewer who is a recognized expert in the relevant field (has a scientific degree and publications on the topic of the article) and has no conflict of interest with the author of the manuscript.
The intellectual content of manuscripts is evaluated regardless of the race, gender, religious beliefs, origin, citizenship, social status, or political views of the authors.
The editorial board does not publish a manuscript if there is reason to believe that it is plagiarized: the percentage of academic integrity must be more than 80%.
The editorial board does not leave unanswered claims regarding reviewed manuscripts or published materials, and in the event of a conflict situation, it takes all necessary measures to restore violated rights.
Regarding reviewer ethics
The manuscript received for review is considered a confidential document, which is the intellectual property of the authors and cannot be transferred for review or discussion to third parties who are not authorized by the editorial office.
By submitting a manuscript for review, authors entrust reviewers with the results of their scientific work and creative efforts, on which their reputation and career may depend. Disclosure of confidential information from the review of the manuscript violates the author’s rights. Violation of confidentiality is possible only in the case of a statement about the unreliability or falsification of materials, in all other cases its preservation is mandatory.
The reviewer conducts a scientific examination of the author’s materials in order to objectively assess the quality of the submitted manuscript and determine the level of its compliance with scientific, literary and ethical standards. Personal criticism of the author is unacceptable.
The reviewer will not consider a manuscript if there is a conflict of interest caused by competition, collaboration, or other relationships with any authors or organizations associated with the manuscript.
Regarding the ethics of the author of a scientific article
The author(s) of the article guarantees that the manuscript: contains reliable results of the research conducted; is not plagiarized; has not been previously published in any language; does not contain references to publications used in the preparation of the article.
