REVIEW POLICY

Peer review, conflict of interest

The review procedure complies with the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (Committee on Publication Ethics / COPE, www.publicationethics.org ), which is focused on an objective assessment of the content of the article and determining its compliance with the requirements of a scientific journal.

Scientific articles submitted to the editorial office undergo a double “blind” review procedure, according to which expert evaluation is carried out anonymously for both the reviewer and the authors.

The author sends to the editorial board of the journal ( metod.vrj@ukr.net) an article that must meet the requirements for articles in the publication “Word of the National School of Judges of Ukraine” and the general rules for preparing scientific papers for publication. Manuscripts that do not meet the accepted requirements are not allowed for further consideration, and their authors are notified by letter.

Manuscripts submitted to the editorial board must be assessed for compliance with the topic of the publication, formal features, using the Plag.com.ua, Plagiarisma systems to determine the degree of uniqueness of the author’s text (80% and above) and, as a result of a favorable conclusion, determine reviewers from among the members of the editorial board who have scientific achievements related to the scientific direction of the article. If necessary, external experts may be involved in the review.

Reviewer selection criteria:

Scientific degree (Doctor of Science, PhD) in a relevant field.

No conflict of interest with the author (not co-authors, colleagues at the institution).

Expert on the topic of the article (members of the editorial board or external experts).

Reviewing of the article is anonymous: the reviewers who analyze the article do not know the name of the author, and the author does not know the name of the reviewers. Interaction between the author and the reviewers is carried out through the responsible secretary by e-mail correspondence. The review process can last up to 30 days.
